Cholestadyn contains species of plants that positively act on the cholesterol level. Silybum marianum (milk thistle) contains silymarinum - a biological substance known for its positive effects on the hepatobiliary function. Silymarinum is made up of a mixture of 3 types of flavonoid natural substances: silybin, silydianin, silychristin.
Their combination, known as silymarin, has an effect on the stabilization of hepatocyte membrane, being a very good trophic and liver protector. It positively intervenes in the activity of the gallbladder and determines its motility, leading to its better operation. Olea europaea (olive) is a plant known and used from ancient times for its positive effects on hypercholesterolemia: it reduces cholesterol due to the diminishing of the LDL fraction involved in the high levels of cholesterol and to the increase of HDL fraction - beneficial for the reduction of cholesterol levels. Soy lecithin and Eleutherococcus senticosus (Siberian ginseng) complete the effects of silymarin and olive, and all this phytotherapeutic complex leads in the end to the reduction of the cholesterol level.
Cholestadyn is recommended to persons with high cholesterol; it improves the liver activity; it supports the gallbladder functions by increasing its motility; it is a detoxifying agent.
